HISTORY
The company's first laboratory was established at Fairoaks airport in Surrey in 1976. Providing oil analysis services to the aviation industry, the company’s reputation for providing a fast and efficient service quickly grew.
The Jet-Care Gas Path Analysis service was founded and developed using its own suite of software. Today, Jet-Care is recognised as a world leader in engine trending with 14,000 engines monitored worldwide, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
The demand for oil analysis and engine trend monitoring services was such that within a couple of years, Spectro had set up a further laboratory in North America near New-York, operating as Jet-Care International Inc.
To fulfil the growing needs of our European customers, Spectro established a third laboratory in Switzerland, near Basel in 2000. Spectro Oil AG laboratory is accredited by Swiss Accreditation Service (SAS) to ensure compliance with the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard.
Maintaining the highest possible standards is a fundamental part of our philosophy. We recognise that latest accreditation plays a key role in delivering competence and integrity for our customers. In 2007, Jet-Care received 100% approval with Lloyd’s Register for its Gas Path Analysis service.
We completed our move to Hatchwood Place, a Grade II listed complex, marking the next milestone in our Company's growth. With an extensive refurbishment of the facility we have been able to more than treble the size of our previous laboratory space
Spectro | Jet-Care celebrated its 40th Anniversary
We were very proud to announce the completion of the move to our new laboratory which enables us to meet the growing need for the expansion of our Swiss operation.
We celebrated both our 45 year anniversary, providing laboratory analysis services to customers around the world, and our 40 year anniversary providing engine trend monitoring services by Gas Path Analysis to the aviation sector.
All three of our laboratories in the UK, USA and Switzerland have undertaken varying levels of re-configuration to enable us to expand our portfolio of testing to meet the continuing demands for our analysis services.
